What is Bond ?
The method of masonry in alternatively layers is known as method in another words the design of layers is known as bond.There are types of bond but in this article you will find information about English bond this is for beginner I think because it is basic of civil engineering.
Let's talk about English bond -
In this picture clearly showed about English bond and method of it's construction it is quite simple but mostly this bond used by many engineer so this one is trendy and in this masonry you need not special (skilled mason) cause of easy to made but it is your responsibility to check all the aspect of related with standard masonry.

Method of construction-
- Above picture is showing English masonry with one brick it starts from brick and after queen closer placed because it doesn't allow to meet joint together ,if joints will be one same vertical parrel line then structure of brick will be very weak and can collapse because there is not bond between bricks.Second layer also starts with full size brick and continue as it's end.Same process repeat as it get finished
- And side layer also broke by queen closer but first layer begin with full size brick until ends and second layer with full brick and after it queen closer placed.
